In the Parlor of the Main house of the Grant-Kohrs Ranch in Deer Lodge, Montana, USA, the chandelier in the room is a hybrid of gas lighting and electric lights. If the gas fails, you turn on the electric lights and vice versa. Such was the reliability of utilities in the 1880s.
